🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]

Located conveniently in St. Petersburg, Queen Dennis Park offers dog owners a breezy, pet-friendly retreat with plenty of open green space and shaded layouts. While not a traditional dedicated dog park—there’s no fenced, off-leash area—this local favorite welcomes dog walkers and families to explore the park’s walking paths, enjoy tree-covered seating, and spot local wildlife like turtles and birds alongside quiet waterways. Its central spot near the Pinellas Trail and a golf course makes it a popular destination for running, biking, and leashed dog strolls.
Families will also find amenities like a playground (including toddler options), benches, picnic tables, a covered pavilion, grills, and a children’s lending library. Free street parking surrounds the park for easy access. Though the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed during the day, pet owners should remain attentive as the area is not fully fenced and is adjacent to water. Queen Dennis Park is an excellent choice for pet-friendly outings, dog-friendly hiking, or just a peaceful spot to relax with your furry friend in St. Pete!
Definitely some shady looking people coming through this area for a park area. Mostly seen men coming through. I seen a car parked as I left the kids to run home for a minute and the car pulled off when I returned. Just don’t leave children unattended
Even though there are a few shady characters here and there, and I once found half a can of pepper spray sitting in the middle of the walkway, early in the morning or during the day this is a great place to take your dog, your family, or just two bike or walk through for some exercise! I love the bridge and the waterway beneath it. I found a few turtles here and there are always plenty of birds! Never seen a snake or an alligator either. I take Bella running through here almost everyday! Their playground is pretty decent too, for the kids.
Nice. Right on the pinellas trail across from a golf course. There’s a canal or pond that goes through it. Some people actually fish at the golf course. There is one bench to sit on.
My Huskies love to run down the trail at sunset
Nice small city park. On top of a slight hill, these breezy park is well shaded and has a playground for younger kids
