Katherine B. Tippetts Park offers one of the best waterfront dog park experiences in St. Petersburg, Florida. With wide-open fields by the water, scenic views of the Skyway Bridge, and plenty of pet-friendly trails, this park is an ideal spot for local dog owners seeking a safe, spacious place to play and socialize their pups. The park features separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, so pets can enjoy off-leash fun suited to their size, while owners relax on benches under mature tree canopies that provide much-needed shade from the Florida sun.
The park is equipped with dog water fountains, waste stations, trash bins, and seating areas to ensure a comfortable visit for both dogs and their humans. For families, there is a newly refurbished and fenced playground, walking trails, and occasional food trucks. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely stroll, a place to toss a frisbee, or a safe environment for your dog to run and meet new friends, Katherine B. Tippetts Park stands out among dog parks in St. Petersburg for its cleanliness, amenities, and beautiful waterfront setting.
NO PARKING elitist residents that live adjacent to park threatened to call police within 2 minutes of me parking my car in front of their house. This seems like a park that the neighborhood wants to keep for themselves and won’t hesitate to use the police to keep outsiders away. By having no parking there is always a reason to call cops on people out of the neighborhood, lol what a joke
Nice little park with an ocean view. The skyway bridge is a beautiful site from here especially if you’re stopping in in the evening and it’s all lit up. We stopped mid day around 2 PM and enjoyed the view. It’s a nice little park to stretch your legs, walk your dog. Named after Katherine B Tibbetts. A businesswoman who was on the national Audubon Society back in 1922 she was the first woman to have a seat in the Florida Legislature she held that seat for 30 years. Nice place to visit.
Beautiful wide open area to explore and enjoy.
Nice open field by the water. There are a few neat tree canopies here that make for great photoshoots and some shade to beat the heat! I love that this park is only about a 10 minute walk from our apartment complex, St Charles Row. I regularly see folks playing frisbee and playing with their dogs at Katherine Tippetts.
Nice place to walk the dog and play near the water close to home
