FAQ for Bear Creek Park in St. Petersburg FL:
I only come here to let my dog Bella run around, but it’s a great spot because this field is so large and open. It’s very popular for dog owners to take their furry Friends here!
Nice large open space. Trees lining the sidewalk and a decent sized playground. There is a small river/creek alongside the park, hence the name “Bear Creek”. A cool feature is that there is this airstrip in the center of the field that is made of some sort of rubber making that a good spot to fly drones, RC helicopters, and sometimes small rc planes.
Small park on a beautiful day. I love the field and the hills. We rolled down the hills and ran across the field. What a nice workout. The playground was small but we had a lot of fun. The slide was fast and my four year old approves!
There’s a playground, baseball field and open field for kids or dogs to run and/play in. There’s trees along side the sidewalk to sit in a cool shade. It was nice to have a place to go to for my girls to get some fresh air during the pandemic. We would grab lunch, sit and enjoy the outdoors. I’m so glad we had this spot available. It was never crowded when we went.
Great open green space for running around with your dog. There’s a playground and baseball / soccer field too. Or if you’re in a quiet mood you can sit by the creek and watch ospreys fly to their nests and ducks wading by.
