🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]

Laclede’s Landing Dog Park is a unique urban dog park located under the MLK bridge in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. This fenced dog park offers city dwellers and their pups a convenient green space with the charm of being surrounded by local landmarks and close to pet-friendly shops and attractions. The park is known for its creative use of city infrastructure, offering fun permanent obstacles and agility features for dogs to explore and enjoy.
While the park provides plenty of shade thanks to the bridge’s coverage and is open all the time, there are some limitations to keep in mind. Water fountains and doggy bag stations have been listed as inconsistent, so visitors should bring their own supplies. The park is best accessed via paid parking lots nearby, and while it is generally well-kept, periodic maintenance issues like exposed wires and park cleanliness have been mentioned. Still, for those seeking a downtown dog park in St. Louis that’s accessible and offers off-leash fun with a city vibe, Laclede’s Landing is worth a visit.
I’m so disappointed about this park. It could be great but there were three dead pigeons and some exposed wires. Also the dog-friendly brewery nearby is permanently closed. Not worth venturing down here to a place that used to be thriving.

Fenced in, shaded but don’t expect water. The fountains do not work but it is well kept and within distance of ice cream/dog friendly shops

Why is this a dog park? There are rusted cast iron columns laying on the ground, the grass is almost all dead, and the bridge support structures aren’t made dog-safe in any way. And the columns are hollow – great spot for a small dog to get stuck.
Cool idea, but it needs a maintenance contact and some more thought put into the design.

First off, parking.
Couldn’t find any free parking. Parked in the lot on a Thursday morning for ?/hr I believe
No street side parking nearby that I could find
Water was not available, maybe turned off? (February) and no doggy bags. Spots where doggy bags should be provided we’re empty.
The park itself was somewhat fun, with the bridge and all.
Some (homeless?) would walk by and comment at the dogs, so keep in mind it is a fairly public place.
The support for the bridge also made it difficult to kick the ball long distances, if your dog is a ball fetch dog
