Bar K St. Louis is more than just a typical dog park in St. Louis, Missouri—it’s a vibrant social hub for both pets and their owners. Located at 4565 McRee Ave, this innovative dog park offers expansive indoor and outdoor play areas for dogs of all sizes, including dedicated spaces for small and large breeds. Bar K is fully fenced, providing a safe, off-leash environment where dogs can interact and exercise while their humans relax in comfortable seating or socialize at the onsite café and bar. The park is loved by locals and out-of-town visitors alike for its friendly staff, attentive dog attendants, and exciting community events, such as brewery tastings and social gatherings.
This pet-friendly destination features a variety of amenities: water features and kiddie pools for dogs to cool down in the summer, turf and gravel running surfaces, hills to climb, and more. Owners appreciate the onsite picnic tables, covered indoor area for colder or rainy days, free street parking, public restrooms, and wheelchair-accessible facilities. Bar K stands out by welcoming intact dogs and offering flexible guest memberships, making it an accessible destination for travelers and locals searching for a dog-friendly, inclusive outing in St. Louis.
Bar K is where I bring my boys (and myself) to relax on my work travels. On any day they can chase after balls and sniff butts to their hearts content. I love that there’s a small dog side. The attendants are very attentive and break up dog fights quickly. I love the cafe, especially the pretzels. It’s especially fun when they have events, like the local brewery tasting event last summer. I wish we had a Bar K in Memphis!
Good place to take your dog to play. They have good food and cocktails as well! Along with food and drinks for the dogs. Overall a good time! Our dog had an absolute blast running around with all of the other dogs and playing with the tennis balls that were scattered around
Being from Chicago, where 99% of the city dog parks are free to use, I’m glad Bar K offers a guest membership which is good for a full day to come and go. This is very helpful for out of towners traveling with their pets! The indoor space is good if things aren’t too busy, especially when it is cold, rainy, etc. and worth the spend alone. The outdoor space is great, never felt crowded even at the busiest times we were there. I bet it’s really fun when it’s warm out. Staff are friendly and attentive, especially to new visitors like us. I wish someone would open a Bar K in Chicago!
Bar K is a great dog park with not only provides for dogs, but also for their two-legged companions. My puppy Blue and I have been going there nearly every day since September.
One thing that makes Bar K stand out from other dog parks is that it allows intact dogs. Blue is intact, and we’re truly relieved to have a place that allows him. Although, I would suggest having people keep an eye on their intact dogs.
Bar K has delicious food, including soft pretzel bites and burgers. They have a bar and you can take drinks (but not food) into the park area.
They have an inside area and an outside area. Inside, there are basically just a bunch of tables. Dogs may join you on your table if you allow them. Outside, the ground is a combination of turf and gravel. Beware: some dogs eat the gravel. There is a hill dogs can run up, and multiple other things for them to climb, mark, and sit on. In the summer, Bar K features two kiddie pools for dogs to cool off in and a Purina water feature for them to play in.
Bar K is great for socialization. Whether you have an adult dog or a new puppy, they can benefit from Bar K. We’ve had so many great times here and we hope you do too!
You can meet Blue and I pretty much every day it’s open in the evening!
This place was incredible! I was nervous at first, having never been there before & me having a smaller dog. But after a short time I felt better. You do have to keep an eye on your dog. It’s not a daycare for your pet due to the variety of sizes & breeds. But man, it is a great time!
