Trail is easy to identify with red markers throughout the trail however mid-summer it was highly overgrown and there were several blockages along narrow trail ridges, with fallen trees in the way. Not suitable for young children. Also, wear insect repellent, as we found a number of small ticks!

Beautiful area but trail is a bit rough and we lost it a few times but did find our way back without too much issue. Suitable walking shoes recommended. Not suitable for children. A few hills and technical spots having to climb around deadfalls.

My favorite place two hours drive time from me when I’m not on the road. Louisiana and a trail with five waterfalls is a magical thing that you wouldn’t think existed. You can follow wide trail or I know a secret better way to the falls.

It’s a nice trail! We did trail A (4 miles). It’s so quiet. We haven’t seen anyone. The marks are not that clear at the stream. Also, be carefull as there is quicksand in the stream. Therefore we went back the same way. Hopefully for you my strava screanshot can help you out. And there are no waterfalls, though it’s nice. Just that you know!

I had a great time at Tunica Hills simply because I enjoy hiking, not because the trail was fantastic. It was my first time, and I will go back with a better understanding of the terrain. We walked Trail A, which takes you into a stream bed so the terrain shifts to sand. Your hike goes from a moderate and steep walk down into a stream bed very quickly. It was okay, but I like to hike, so I got kind of bored when we were just walking on sand. There could have been better details on the map and a notice about squirrel season being in effect. I looked at the website a few weeks ago and again today and don’t see any notice posted about squirrel hunting. Overall, it was good enough to go back.
