Nice little dog park and good sized pond, but the amount of land there for dogs to run is very minimal. If you’re going there to swim it’s good.
Compared to other dog parks I have been at, this had a lot more to do. My dog had a lot of fun – and we loved the water area! It seemed clean, and the other people there were all nice. This was actually my first time taking her to a dog park as I always heard bad stories. But we had no issues with any other dog as they were all friendly!
Great mulched dog park with jungle gym equipment and separated space for swimming in the pond and another separate space for small dogs. The pond space needs some shade and they need to turn the fountains on to increase the water movement but this is the most accessible water for your do aside from east-branch dog park and a much more controlled environment.
This is a pretty great dog park considering it’s 100% free and no permits are required. I wish the small dog area was a bit larger though, and also had an airlock like the big dog area, particularly because there’s a rather large gap by the gate that a small dog could slip through. It’s worth noting you have to enter the big dog area to get to the beach. There are picnic benches inside each area to sit which is nice.
This dog park has always been a great experience for us. There’s a main fenced in dog run with a few dog agility obstacles (mine aren’t smart enough to use them, but hey) and a covered pavilion with picnic tables for the humans (or dogs). There’s also a separate pond area for the dogs to swim. While it is not completely fenced in, the fence extends about 20 feet into the water deterring them from going up on shore outside the fenced area. I don’t let my hound off leash outside a fenced area ever, but feel pretty confident she’s not going to escape this partially fenced in pond area either. It’s a a great spot to introduce your dog to the water. Finally, the other dog owners have always been very friendly to talk with and respectful of the general etiquette of a dog park. There’s no fees or registration required to use this park (unlike many others in nearby towns).
