FAQ for Bloomington Hall and Park in St Charles Idaho:
Very poor experience, we paid extra to be in the luxury suite! The fireplace was electric and no instructions on how to use it. The gas heater was not working. We were told the maintenance man would be on his way. The bed felt like it was going to fall apart. This was room 16Then I requested a different room because of the heating issues. We went to room 36 which had mold in the bathroom. We went to the restaurant to eat then decided to leave and ditch this dump. Stop to eat if hungry, otherwise keep the wheels turning! We will not be back 😟
The room was dark with wood paneling and had an off smell. We had to put our shoulder to the entry door to get it to open. The mattress was cheap one where you could feel the springs in it when you sat on the edge and it had a sag in the middle. The TV was a nightmare to get to work. It seemed that everything in the room was old and worn out. It was hard to read anything at night because the lighting was poor and all the walls were dark brown. The shower temp was hard to adjust and the soap dispensers were either empty or not working. We will not be staying here again when in town. Between the wife and I, we give the motel four thumbs down. Breakfast at the restaurant was four thumbs up though….
The hot tub suite was a delightful surprise find at a reasonable price for an unplanned 5 day stay. Very clean, comfortable room. Good cafe on site. Friendly, efficient hospitality, and very dog-friendly. Exceeded our expectations.
I have been traveling through Challis for 30ish years. This was my second stay. My first time involved a search and rescue situation and this time I needed tires as I got a flat 40ish miles in the backcountry.I have two Great Pyrenees and the hostess was delightfully accommodating, she gathered up water bowls for the thirsty floof as well as picked an incredibly hospitable room to accommodate them. The room was clean with all the amenities you need. Housekeeping checked every day if I needed anything, sadly no I never did as there was an abundance of linens and toiletries in the room. The bed was short enough that the dogs decided it was theirs -_-The restaurant is wonderful and always delivers exactly what you expect. I love that I could get an outstanding 20oz raspberry mocha from 6am to 10pm every day. I took total advantage of that… monstrous levels folks. Wait staff slayed.Looking forward to frequent visits as I am now localish. Thank you so much everyone at Village Inn🫶
My opinion is highly biased as this is where my grandparents lived as I grew up, but Bloomington is a town where life slows down and one can truly relax and reconnect with nature. The Hall is perfect for family gatherings especially with the park where the kids can play.

Nice Hall for gatherings…old building, single basement bathroom. There is a playground and picnic area.
