There are a lot of space for them to run around and sit for picnic but the playground itself is full of rust. Not safe for children.

The rocket ship is super cool, but the rest of the playground is in serious need of an overhaul. There is one portopotty that is brought in seasonally. There are a few picnic benches. lots of potential

My kids love ‘rocketship’ park! Kids can enjoy plenty of room to run and play. The playground is nice. Being close to the airport planes can be seen flying over. Only downside is the parking lot. Make sure to take sunscreen and your baseball gear!

My son loves going to the “rocket park”. In addition to the traditional play set there is a 3 story rocket play set from the Cold War area. Definitely a nice addition to the Springfield Park District.
