A great place to hike and admire nature. The County is doing a wonderful job in maintaining the trails although some portions need some attention. Some more signage may be of help to guide new hikers where each paths are headed.
Not too long of a hike but a steep hill and trails are split up so you can prolong your walk if you want to. Very nice view on top as well.
Many people don’t know there is a very good hiking trail here. Park at end of S. Barcelona Ave. Steep for a very good workout hike. About 2 miles round trip with a great view at the top.
I have been hiking in SD for 7 years now and I like to go to those hidden paths; well this is a gem. The entry is in the back of a quiet neighborhood and you will be you will be parking on a cul-de-sac. There are numerous paths you can take as you go further into the hike so be observant as you hike so you can find your way back. So much to explore, many views to enjoy, definitely recommended.Oh, and we just happened to come by a peacock on the drive there….what the…?
