Spring Lake Boardwalk is a popular and well-maintained destination for those seeking a relaxing, scenic stroll with their dogs in Monmouth County. Renowned for its clean surroundings, beautiful ocean views, and chill atmosphere, this pet-friendly area stands out as a top choice for dog owners looking for a spacious and safe place to walk their furry companions. While it’s not a traditional dog park, the boardwalk and nearby beach provide a welcoming environment for families and dog lovers alike.
The boardwalk features easy access to two public restrooms located at the north and south ends, plenty of street parking, and a peaceful ambiance that attracts both locals and visitors. Off-season visits often provide uncrowded paths, perfect for bike rides or leisurely walks. With amenities close by—including food services and restrooms—Spring Lake Boardwalk is a prime spot for enjoying the best of the Jersey Shore with your dog.
Born and raised on LBI beaches, they still take 1st place in NJ for me, but again, it’s very subjective and I’m biased by nostalgia, etc. However, since living in Monmouth county for nearly a decade now, Spring Lake has become my go-to beach. Clean, crowds spread out well, vibe is chill, parking is free and not usually an issue at the right times of day, and you’re close to everything else you need (food, restrooms, etc.)

Took my elderly dad for a walk along the boardwalk. Perfect Sunday afternoon adventure. It was absolutely beautiful and 100% safe. Cannot wait to get back for a longer stay and a swim.
