Great small little hike located just before the beach parking. Good for kids and warming up a bit.

Nice little beach no restroom tho the trail is short but nice ! I go to the beach with the dog there all the time. It’s quiet in the off season but pretty busy in the summer as it’s the only beach around. There is a great store down the road with the best food around!!!

Always great to see ANY lighthouse. If you are looking to see any and all lighthouse for Maine or any area, then you must go see Hendricks Head light. However, it is a private residence that is clearly posted and visitors CANNOT get close to the light. The parking area and beach near the light affords some limited views (see pictures), but it is not the greatest views. We were fortunate to get variably lit views with a mix of sun and clouds. Unless you are like me and want to see all the lighthouses, this one is a huge investment of time and effort (driving a long way), with a small payoff at the end. Sorry to post this, but trying to be honest…

It’s ok. Nothing special. The drive here is fun and there is a rocky Beach area you can swim at. There is a big rock you can climb on top of to get a better view of the lighthouse. The light house is on private property so this is as close as you can get.

This is a sweet little beach with about 10 parking spaces. We visited with the intention of going to the lighthouse – not realizing that the lighthouse is now a private summer residence. We visited during the cold months, so we weren’t able to climb/explore the rocks in the middle of the beach, but I’ve read that in the warmer months it’slots of fun. The sand was pretty active with lots of tiny blood worms, empty snail shells, and dead clams.
