Hands down the best dog park in Connecticut. This park has everything you and your dog need for a great day. There are trails, a very large open field with picnic tables and benches. Best of all is a beautiful clean river with plenty of swimming spots with sandy beach areas along the trails. They also supply poop bags and garbage cans at both entrances to the park. It’s a great place for the pups any time of year.

Best dog park in the state hands down without a doubt. We live 40 minutes away and try to get here once a week. Huge walking area, river, wooded trails, small dog side, friendly people.

So fun!! My black lab was in heaven!
It’s such a large open space to run with the river access too.

My babies love this park! I have been coming to this park for 2 years now and I’ve had the best experience with people and other dogs. They provide picnic tables and benches which makes it comfortable for you to watch your pups play or chat with other puppy parents. There are 2 poop bag stations available one in each entrance with garbage cans to facilitate cleaning after your dog. Thank you so much for providing a safe and comfortable area! We love it 😍

Large park space just inside a (quarry?) entrance. Only the front is fenced, although the back is bounded by the river. Your dog will need some level of recall at this park.
The space is large and grassed, with trails leading out of the “park space” and access to the river.
There is a stream that goes through the middle of the park, with two foot bridges over it.
There is no water fountain or spigot. Trash is only at the entrance.
*edit – although I missed them at dusk, there are bag dispensers scattered around (see response from owner)

There is a small dog section which is completely enclosed.
