Discover Red Lion Recreation Park, a well-maintained and pet-friendly space located in the heart of Southampton Township, New Jersey. This park welcomes dog owners and their furry companions to enjoy its expansive open fields, paved walking paths, and scenic pond with a fountain—a perfect escape for those seeking a relaxing day out with their pets. The park is wheelchair accessible and offers amenities such as a baseball and soccer field, portable restrooms, and plenty of space for families and their dogs.
While Red Lion Recreation Park currently does not offer a fenced-in dog park, it provides an inviting environment to walk your dog on-leash, enjoy bird watching, and soak in the local atmosphere. Its combination of accessibility, open green space, and friendly vibe make it one of Burlington County’s favorite destinations for both locals and visitors seeking dog-friendly hiking or pet-friendly trails.
A nice paved walking path with open space. There are two portable toilets; there isn’t a permanent bathroom.
I love going here with my dog (on a leash) but other people don’t follow the rules and let their dogs run wild scaring the other dogs on a leash. It would be nice if everyone followed the rules. It would be fantastic to have a fenced-in dog park so dogs can run and play together.
Peaceful escape to watch the birds or you can take a walk around the park…Bring the dog and enjoy the open space. There is a pond with a fountain to enjoy. Well maintained
Although I understood it was supposed to replace the “condemned baseball field,” Basically to me it seems like it’s just a soccer field with a track to walk around it. I really think it needs a playground for the children. however, I think it is lovely and very well taken care of!
A great place to walk or jog. One of our favorite places in Burlington County. We enjoy seeing the hand gliders & the children on the weekends playing sports. I would have rated the park a 5 but some dog walkers, owners will not leash their pets. Otherwise, it’s a great park & is in a great location.
