South Windsor Bark Park

South Windsor Bark Park offers two separate fenced areas for small and large dogs respectively, both covered in wood chips to minimize mud. The park is wheelchair accessible and well-maintained, with friendly visitors and a community-oriented atmosphere. Features include double gated entry for security, ample seating in shaded and sunny spots, water fountains with dog bowls (though water quality can vary seasonally), provided poop bags, trash bins, and a spacious layout allowing dogs to run freely. Parking is limited and there are no bathrooms on site, but a porta potty is nearby. The park emphasizes cleanliness and safety, making it a favored spot for dog owners in the town.

Great dog park with trusted people watching their dogs and cleaning up after them. Nice place with areas for small and large breeds.

Town does really well at maintaining the dog park. Always poop bags if we run out of our own. Has water however bring your own at time if this post as water does not look the greatest. It could be fine but many if us here today not using it as looks cloudy and just not right.
Will be 5 stars once water issue us flushed out or fixed!

Heavily mulched, good sized. People and dogs were very friendly. Water (although off for the season), bags, trash. Porta potty just outside the park.
Fountains were a bit odd. No direct bubbler for the dogs, only human height bubblers to fill bowls.

This is a nice dog park with a large area for small dogs and another for large dogs. Both are covered in a thick layer of wood chips. It’s double gated for security. There are poop bags and garbage cans for waste. And there are water fountains and plenty of bowls for the dogs. The surroundings are very beautiful. There’s not a lot of parking and there are no bathrooms for the humans. Some more things for the little dogs to climb in or under would be nice and also more benches in the shade though there are some.

I love this place, I had no idea that it existed until I saw the sign. They have two separate areas, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. They are wood chipped areas, so no issues with mud or anything which is great. There are an array of benches throughout the park in both the sun and shade, various pipes and most of the time toys that are part of the park. In the late spring to summer they turn on the water fountain there for the dog water, and have a couple bowls too. There are trash cans and bags for dog waste, and overall it is pretty clean. The big thing for us was that it is a pretty large fenced in area so the dogs can actually run a decent amount inside. Everyone there is always really friendly, it’s a great place to go for your dog in the town.
