Great park to have a picnic, play disc golf, hike the trails to see the beautiful waterfalls and/or walk your dog, which does need to be on a leash and picked up after, which most people seem to have the common courtesy to do. It’s always peaceful and relaxing, easy to connect with nature because it’s never overcrowded like a lot of other parks…at least not the 3 or 4 days when I’m there 🙂 It’s full of history too!

It’s such a beautiful park! Countless trails, waterfalls, playgrounds, disc golf, and 3 sledding hills weather permitting.
When my son and i visited, one of the restrooms off the trail was closed for the season, but the warming house was open. I loved all the ruins along the trails. The masonry is amazing.
Trails were very muddy, so nice hiking shoes and hiking poles are helpful. But with countless trails around, there are also paved ones. There’s not much elevation, so it’s good for family hiking.
