FAQ for Cornwall Nature Preserve in South Paris Maine:
I grew up riding horses here waaaay back in the 80’s. My grandmother blazed much of the trails and I remember helping to keep them trimmed. I returned for a visit after moving away 30 years ago and was happy to see everything still as beautiful as it was when I was young.
Great hike with the dogs. Some wet spots, but to be expected in the spring. Trail is well marked and the dogs enjoyed it and so did I. I didn’t feel the trails were confusing
New, highly visable sign at entrance. Parking area plowed (2/1/20). Trails are easily followed by color marks. Although posted at entrance for dog walkers to be vigilant in their “poopscooping”, a few piles were seen not far in from entrance. Winter snowshoeing opportunities here although mostly walked dogs abound.
Great trails for a nice walk in the woods. Rarely is there every anyone else there, so you’ll pretty much have the place to yourselves. Animals are welcome.
These trails are fun and easy for the whole family. There are 4 different trails too take. One of which leads to the enchanted forest, which is wondrful for little ones. Another leads to a pond and shack, pretty to see.
