Located at 2-60 Bear Ln, the Parking Lot area in South Orange Village, New Jersey, serves as a convenient starting point for dog-friendly hiking and scenic walks. The spot is popular among locals looking to access nearby trails, particularly the path leading to the picturesque Hemlock Falls. While this isn’t a formal dog park with designated fenced areas, it’s an excellent location for pet-friendly adventures and enjoying the natural outdoors with your four-legged companion.
Visitors are advised to take a photo of the trail map at the start for navigation, as trail markings can sometimes be unclear. This area is best suited for dog owners seeking pet-friendly hikes and casual strolls in a lush, wooded setting near South Orange Village. Ample parking makes this spot a practical choice for those coming from around the region.
Used this parking lot to hike to hemlock falls. Was a total of 3 miles. Trail markings are not clear but you will figure out soon enough. Advisable to click a picture of the map at the start. ( near the board that says bramhall terrace).
Follow the summit trail, till you hit summit field. Turn right towards north area, go past it, up the stairs another parking lot and on to another tail. Follow along the curves of pebbles and mush till you hit the red trail. A mile or on this will lead you to the falls
