Fallsburg Rails To Trails, located in South Fallsburg, New York, offers a welcoming spot for local dog owners looking for a scenic and pet-friendly outing. The park features a large, grassy area and dirt trail ideal for dog-friendly hiking and walking, as well as a covered pavilion providing shade for owners. It’s known for its peaceful atmosphere, clean grounds, and a community of friendly dogs and owners. Parking is available on-site, making access simple for visitors.
Although there is an annual fee for dog park access, the area is well-maintained and includes benches for relaxing, water during warmer months, and ample space for energetic play. While the park has minimal agility equipment and limited trees, pet owners will find the park a great place for off-leash exercise and positive socialization. In addition, kids can enjoy a nearby playground and creek, making it a family-friendly destination. Just be mindful of potential ticks in the grass, especially during warmer weather.
Smooth and quiet
The trailhead is here for this nice, but only lightly improved rail trail. Surface is dirt but someone does clip grass and clear downed trees. There is room to park your car here. There is also a sign board with a map and local information. The fancier, paved rail trail segment is a few miles northwest in Hurleyville.
