A small but cute area for dogs to be off leash. There is a body of water for dogs to swim in (although the water wasn’t clear) and a fenced in area for off-leash play and a trail nearby.
Small play area one for small and one for big. There is a nice trail you can follow the water however make sure your pet has their flea and tick control. In the summertime, it’s a pesky feast for you and your Pets w out it. Also I use a coyote vest for my Lil baby when we r out to protect her from hawks and other birds of prey.
Good walking trail. We took our Lil guy, he loved it. The trail is along the water pretty much all the way. Path is fairly flat, not too wide but wide enough for 2 people to walk. We had very high humidity that week in Sept and the mosquitos were vicious. So if it’s hot, I’d suggest bug spray prior. The views are very pretty though.
We went mostly to take the dogs swimming and I wasn’t blown away. It had 2 small fenced in “dog park” areas with tennis balls but the pond was not part of the dog area. I’m pretty sure the dogs weren’t even allowed in the water. We didn’t use the trail, it seemed nice though. I wish it was a bit clearer on the rules I guess!
Definitely has potential, but seems a bit neglected.The surrounding trails are overgrown in many areas, with a few fallen trees across the trail in two specific spots (one I was able to let the dogs through first and swing my leg over the tree similar to riding a horse, thankful to have long legs! The other notable one I had to limbo under…).The pond was pretty to observe from a distance, but didn’t seem very clean once you get up close and had a good amount of ducks swimming nearby… You can technically let dogs swim in it, as far as the town rules apply – however, I definitely wouldn’t let mine in there.There are two fenced in areas; one for small dogs and one from bigger buddies. The areas were clean, but wish they had some grass instead of dirt. Also, just a heads up for other dog owners: I noticed a couple spots inside the fenced area where someone previously started trying to dig out, glad I saw it and not my smaller large dog ~ she loves squeezing through small spots to run free & play keep away (which would give me a heart attack if it had happened with rt134 right there!)
