Very nice park for all ages. Interesting play area. Bathrooms were not maintained clean. Beautiful pond nearby. Plenty of place for parking.
Ran Garden State 10 miler and 5k! Chilly day at 35 degrees on March 23rd. Gonna go back! Nice park!
I was new to the area and looking for a park with a sidewalk to walk my dog when I stumbled upon Colonial Park. It’s the perfect spot to get your steps in, whether you’re walking, jogging, or just enjoying the scenery. Fair warning—it does get pretty busy on weekends! Each season has its own charm, from the first buds of spring to the stunning fall foliage. There’s always something to admire. Also perk for dog owners: there are receptacles along the path for you to drop off your used baggies.
A huge park. There is a rose garden, which is unfortunately closed, there is a beautiful garden with herbs and shrubs, there is a huge field with giant trees standing alone, there are walking paths and a small forest path, picnic areas, a playground – in general, a park for recreation for every taste. We rode bicycles in the park. We had a lot of fun. From this park you can cross the bridge into the Delaware and Raritan Canal State park trail.
