This Smyrna dog park is appreciated for its open space, shade from trees, and separate enclosures that let dogs explore off-leash. While there are water fountains (note that they may be turned off in the winter), visitors should consider bringing their own water and watch for insects, especially in the shaded, tree-rich areas. Seating can be limited, so bringing your own chair may be helpful. The community atmosphere and location make this park a favorite for regulars and new visitors alike.
My puppy had a great time!!! I met some amazing people and they were all very responsible pet owners. Nice facility and even nicer people. My puppy and I will frequent this park!!
Ummm. I am there a lot. The dogs recognize the drive to the park, and then they go wild in the car. There is enough room in the small dog area to let them explore. There is a core group, they are the best. Shot out to all the dog moms. Wish we could do more bout the seating areas, maybe one day we can all pitch in to buy a few more benches. The pups love this place. “Dog park” is forbiden to say out loud at home. Oh yea.
Lots of space for your dog to run, play and explore. It is enjoyable to talk with other pet owners to compare your pet’s habits and behavior. Remember to bring water for pet during the winter as the city turns off water to the fountain to prevent freezing.
Disappointed in this park. We wanted to find something closer to where we lived without having to drive down to Nashville. I gave it 2 stars because it did have enclosed areas and designated sides for large dogs and small dogs. There are trees all over the place which attract insects. I saw a bunch of anthills throughout the small dog area. It doesn’t allow the owner to relax because you have to constantly watch to see if they’re getting into something they shouldn’t.
I took my dog to Bark Springs Dog Park in Smyrna, Tennessee, and I was very disappointed. One side of the park was locked, so my dog only had half of the park to run around in. There were also a lot of flying insects, which made it difficult for my dog to enjoy himself. They need to get some people out here and fix that insect problem man.
The other dogs at the park were also not well-behaved. They were barking and jumping all over the place, and my dog was getting scared. I had to leave early because I didn’t want my dog to get hurt.
I would not recommend this dog park to anyone. It is not safe or enjoyable for dogs.
I hope the city of Smyrna will take steps to improve this park. It has the potential to be a great place for dogs to run and play, but right now it is not safe or enjoyable
I drove quite a distance to experience this place and make my puppy happy but nah.
