If you’re looking for a vibrant dog-friendly park in Smithfield, Utah, the Smithfield Central Park Splash Pad is a community hotspot perfect for families and pet owners. While its main attraction is the splash pad – a big hit with local children – the park is also praised for its clean, well-maintained grounds and a pet-friendly atmosphere. Shaded picnic tables and brand-new umbrella installations provide plenty of coverage from the sun, making it comfortable even on hot days.

This park is easy to access, although parking can be limited along the road. However, additional parking is available near Summit School and the library, both within a short walking distance. The busy 100 North street can require careful crossing, especially on weekends when the park is crowded. Although primarily focused on splash play for kids, pet owners enjoy relaxing in the shaded pavilion and tranquil open spaces while their dogs are leashed. It’s an ideal spot for a family picnic or a quick outing with your canine companion in Smithfield.

My son wanted to check out the skatepark in Smithfield. So we stopped by and he rode around for an hour or so. It’s a cool park, especially compared to the one in Spanish Fork where we live. A good amount of kids and adults were using it and having a great time. We’ll certainly be coming back.

Such a fun play place! Easy to access! Parking not to far away if roadside parking is filled which isn’t common. There is often at least one helicopter mom there that has nothing else to do but helicopter you and your parenting also. But the splash pad itself is fun!

Super fun splash pad! My kid loved it! Good for little kids. Has a pavilion nearby. It’s NEW 2023 hours are 10am- 8pm. And yes you have to touch the black pad with your hand or barefoot to turn it on.

Love the new umbrella and picnic table updates for shade 🙂
