Rue Rochelle Park is a quiet, family-friendly spot nestled in the heart of Slidell, Louisiana. This neighborhood park is known for its welcoming, laid-back atmosphere and is a popular destination for locals looking for a pet-friendly outing. While it does not offer a fenced-in or dedicated dog park area, dogs are welcomed as long as owners supervise them closely, especially given the lack of a fence and the park’s proximity to a main road.
The park offers a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking, playground equipment for children (including slides and swings), and a small parking lot for easy access. There’s a single bench available for seating and plenty of green space for leashed pets. Rue Rochelle Park is an ideal place for those seeking a peaceful, relaxed day outdoors with their families and furry companions within the Slidell community.
Love this park. For the most part the neighborhood kids all act right and dont couse no problems. Traffic can see the whole park clearly so no blind spot.
Looks like a great place to bring your children. Has parking. Not fenced in so you will have to keep a close eye on them.
It’s a nice little park in the middle of a neighborhood. It’s biggest downfall is that it is on a main road where people speed frequently. That wouldn’t be horrible if it wasn’t for the fact there are no fences around the playground. I’m constantly worried my kids going to run out into the street and get hurt.
It’s just a really laid-back chill, quiet little place and we enjoy it. It’s close to home. Never a lot of crazy people genuinely pleased with everything about this place. Sometimes it might be a little bit too secluded, but that’s not always a bad thing. Sometimes it is though a few updates. Wouldn’t kill anything. Maybe draw a few more kids in to play. Kids get lonely here talking to the same people they talk to at home. But nonetheless, I give it a five out of five because sometimes you got to be the best, not the biggest my kids have been coming here for a few years now
