Cool park with interesting plants. There’s a swing set and see-saw and two person slide and a small climbing gym. Beautiful views of the stream and a very cool bridge down the trail. Don’t go during lunchtime though.

Use Google Earth not Waze to find this trail. Once you arrive you are greeted by a well groomed, flat, level path. We explored a little off the main trail, which I would recommend for adventure goers. There is a lot of history here, which I would love to know more about.

There were crews smoothing the trail and adding very small almost powered stone. It’s the most well groomed trail I have been on (was impressed). If I was walking alone I could see how someone might get “spooked” if they don’t know the area with the high banks, abandoned structures (from Skaneateles historical past) and with some graffiti on some of the walls. We found it super interesting and would recommend especially for those that are looking to “explore” and find somewhere unique.

HINT: For those who get thirsty, there was a turnoff from the trail (marked with signs) that take you down a path to Skaneateles Brewery and also Last Shot (hand crafted fine spirits).

This trail is perfect for a slow stroll with a special someone, or even with little kids. It is flat and offers many unique shots if you like photography, beautiful sounds of nature all around you as a stream runs the distance of the trail. There is a lot of history there. You can see where there was an old factory that used the stream to generate power by setting up a lock system. It may be short but it’s a worthwhile investment of your time.

The trail end to end is about 0.8 miles. Easy walking path which follows a beautiful river. Abandoned structures are dotted along the trail and is being seamlessly integrated by nature with stunning results.
