the last three times I’ve tried taking my child here there has been the same random weird man sitting there. I think he might be sleeping in the bathrooms.
This park is a hidden gem! Great playground, plenty of parking, large pavilion, numerous hiking trails, swings, grills and restrooms.
The “easy” trail is perfect for young children to explore. This is one of the few trails we go on that I feel 100% safe bringing toddlers to. 😊 They also love running through the prairie.
I love taking my cat to this park as it is usually quiet and not too busy. We like walking the trails and he likes the large overlook specifically. I love that it is pet-friendly, however when people bring their dogs, they have a tendency to not keep them on leash; that is very uncomfortable when I can hear a dog in the distance, knowing it is off leash and never knowing when it is going to hop around a turn.
A nice, clean park on a dead end road. Has a large , covered area with picnic tables. Has a building with restrooms that were clean. Several large trash cans sitting around and all of them were nearly empty. It’s a well taken care of park.
