North Four Corners Local Park is a spacious, pet-friendly park located in Silver Spring, Maryland. Well known for its paved looping pathway (about 1/2 mile) and beautiful tree-lined perimeter, this park is perfect for dog owners looking for a pleasant place to walk their pets. The park offers ample shade, making it comfortable during hot days, and provides benches and seating areas where owners can relax while their dogs enjoy the open spaces.
Ideal for families, North Four Corners also features two parking lots, two playgrounds for various age groups, a soccer field, and tennis courts. Trash receptacles are plentiful throughout the park, helping to keep it clean and inviting for all visitors. Though there is no separately fenced dog park area or off-leash zone, the park’s openness and amenities make it great for leashed walks and pet-friendly fun with the whole family.
Tootsie Roll loves this park! There is a paved pathway that loops the park and is about 1/2 a mile total. We are always grateful when parks have shady areas and places to rest. The perimeter of the park is well planted with many trees and places to rest. There is also lots of space for kids and adults to play, a playground, a soccer field, tennis courts and an open space surrounded by seating. It is great for a short walk or just to sit and enjoy the park.
The portable potties near the playground were locked. Otherwise, the play area was clean and usable and great fun for kids of different ages up to about age 12. Puddles form under swings, there is a large swing which is great for special needs kids.
It is a big park. 2 parking lots. 2 playgrounds. Plenty of space for sports
To all the kids and adults too! Please clean up after yourself! I walk my dog here almost every morning and I’m constantly picking up trash that is left all over the soccer field! There is no excuse for this. Soccer teams, frisbee teams, boys, and girls and their parents and COACHES! should all know how to throw their water bottles and bags of trash away. There are plenty of trash cans all around the park. There are recycle bins at the park building and by the playground there are no recycle bins at the University Boulevard entrance.
The playground is equipped with a playground area for 2-5 and another playground for 5-12 year olds. There is a soccer field and two Porter potties. My 3 year old enjoyed herself at both playgrounds.
