Discover Olalla Lake Recreation Area, a scenic escape in Siletz, Oregon, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and their furry friends. This pet-friendly park offers lakeside views with calm waters, making it ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and nature watching. With large open green spaces, picnic areas, a playground, and plenty of room to roam, it’s a great spot for families and those looking for a relaxing day in nature. The park is especially known for its peaceful atmosphere, kid-friendly amenities, and being welcoming to well-behaved dogs.
Dog owners will appreciate the wide-open grassy areas, level paths, and flat terrain, which are great for long walks or letting their dogs explore. Although there is a designated dog park area, it’s not fenced all around and has some uneven spots, so bring a leash just in case. Shade is provided by mature trees, and there are picnic tables and benches for you to relax while your pet plays. Bring your own water, as there are no water fountains available, and remember to bring extra waste bags. Parking is convenient with a gravel lot, and the area is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

Decent lake to fish for stocked trout early in the spring. Can’t wait to buy a boat and explore it further!

We liked kayaking there very much. It’s a smaller lake, and there were no speeding boats, which we liked a lot. Parking lot is next to a picnic area and to the beach, so it was very convenient just to drag our kayaks through the grassy area to the water. Very kids friendly.
