Reviews

The area was nice. Kid friendly enviroment and there is a playground. The dog park is relatively small. My two cons were that both trash cans were full and the only dog poop bags were like 2 gallon trash bags.

I am grateful for a fenced in area which I can safely take my pups to go potty while I’m in Sikeston shopping I am very disappointed with the condition of the items available for our use as well as the fencing and particularly the back gates which are used for containment and our pets safety.
We played on the small dog side.
The picnic table is in need of at least two new boards. The water dish is cracked and the back gates which has large openings at the bottom and doesn’t close completely.
It appears the fence between the two sides has had an attempt to repair and straw is now being used to fill the hole along the ground.
I don’t expect a lot of money to be spent, but it would definitely be nice at least the security of fence was repaired.

Awesome dog park with large fenced runs for different sized doggos
My little one loved running around and meeting another dog, Harlem, at the park!

Out of poop bags and therefore lots of dog waste left behind but otherwise a decent place to stop on a road trip to stretch dog’s legs. Fresh water from a spigot available in both the big and small dog runs.

I have taken my yorkies here every day for the past 3.5 years. The only exception is when the park is closed due to inclement weather. My boys love the park, but I don’t love the idea that this area does not receive the same attention to upkeep as does the baseball and soccer fields. The grass is not mowed on a consistent basis. There are hardly ever any poop bags available. The trash is often overflowing, and there is poop everywhere. The later being that of the dog owners. As noted in a previous review, there are several areas of the fence in need of repair. Not too long ago, a small dog ran under the broken fence into the larger section of the park and was attacked by a bigger dog. This was no fault to either of the owners, but this could have been prevented had the City taken better care of this premises. I don’t mean to spend ungrateful because I am. Im simply shedding light on an eye sore in need of repair. Sikeston is a lovely town and host to many recreational events and tourists. It would be nice if the dog park was an extended reflection of the beauty of the town.
