Camp host is awesome but grounds and maintenance have been neglected by other staff. Also, the rocks placed by the entrances of the campsites are placed ridiculously close and make it difficult to get in without damaging your vehicle and are nearly impossible to back into at night as you can see nothing… No reflectors, nothing. I damaged my vehicle on them, as well as one other camper I spoke with while I was there. I did report it to the ranger who visited, as well as the sites vendor. Why have these not been moved? They are clearly a safety issue.
My solar generator was also stolen from my campsite

A nice area to camp at in the Ottawa National Forest. The lake is alright for paddling on. Usually not too busy. It’s not as wild as other lakes around the area but is still worth a trip. Be sure to check out the wetland hiking trail nearby!

We’ve been going to this campground for years. It’s very primitive, no hookups or showers .. just regular old outhouses…and I love it. Peaceful and quiet, beautiful lake, beautiful nature. You won’t get cell service here so only come if you’re wanting to enjoy some time off the grid. Nice place to fish or just take a pleasant canoe/kayak ride. Sit by the lake with your coffee in the morning and listen to the loons. ❤️

Small secluded campground. Access by gravel and dirt roads, some areas pretty tight for two trucks to slide past. Beautiful lake sites. Clean, recommend bringing your own drinking water.

Fishing was great… I had a great time catching 8 fish in one afternoon.
