This was a very easy walk/hike and such a beautiful area. I wish there wasn’t so much graffiti. However, it’s still beautiful. I want to come back during spring when there’s flowers blooming as the garden is just amazing.

This place was obviously a gem at one point. Lovely and serene. Fewer people and lots of flies!

Very interesting history. What is left of the old mansion is very tranquil and relaxing. Great place to go for a stroll.

There’s definitely a beautiful area to check out if you are into sea and ruins like I am. There will be a parking lot for the area. And there are also 2 maps on the old trails app, which will take you in a loop. One is a little shorter than the other. Is definitely a very easy hike. It takes about ten minutes to reach the ruins. There was a bit of muddiness when I did the trail so please don’t wear your great good shoes.

Located in the heart of Shrewsbury, Prospect park is the remains of what was once a mansions garden which has recently been undergoing restoration. The mansion was razed in the 1970s but the pergola was left untouched. Off street unpaved parking has sapce for about 15 vehicles. This is a very popular spot to walk dogs and is easy for all ages. Follow the paved access road to the water towers and stay to the right then you’ll see a grassy opening where the mansion once stood. Lower on the hill is the area of the formal garden and its ruins.
