The shrewsbury town’s recreation department maintains municipal field which is near to Paton elementary School. Not only does it boast a verdant, lush green landscape that’s a treat for the eyes, but its versatility is commendable, catering to both soccer enthusiasts during weekdays and cricket aficionados on weekends.

Its strategic location, makes it easily accessible and adds to its appeal. For parents of Paton School students, it’s a double boon – a recreational spot right in the vicinity of their children’s school.

This playground not only enhances the town’s athletic offerings but also serves as a communal hub, promoting health, sportsmanship, and community spirit.

A brief for cricket 🏏 enthusiasts- If you play cricket, the pitch is in the north-South direction. The bowling end is south and the ball swinging out to a right hand batsman will point to north. I could see mat on the ground. Both the on and off side, were equal distance from the pitch which is located in center. Just some pavilion is missing to sit and relax and enjoy a good quality match
