If you’re looking for a spacious and well-maintained dog park in Shoreview, Minnesota, the Rice Creek Off-Leash Dog Area is a fantastic choice for dog owners. This 13-acre, fully fenced park provides plenty of room for your dogs to run, play, and socialize. With recently improved, pet-friendly trails shaded by tree coverage, you and your dog can enjoy easy, dog-friendly hiking experiences here
Rice Creek stands out with its separate, newly-added small dog area (about half an acre), benches, picnic tables, and multiple water stations spread throughout the park. Wheelchair accessibility, a large parking lot, well-stocked waste stations, and a kid-friendly hiking environment make it perfect for families and their pets. It’s a local favorite and is praised for its beautiful trails, abundant shade, and friendly community atmosphere.
There’s so much space for the pups to run! Go in knowing it is very sandy on the paths, which would be hard on a wet day. The parking lot fills up very fast, but if you’re lucky to get a spot, it’s a great time!
My dog had a great time running with all the other pups. It was so nice to have water stations around the park. The day got hot and muggy. Owners did a good job keeping an eye on their dogs. All dogs seemed quite friendly. The hosr outside the park came in handy. My pup got kinda sandy playing with another dog. We will visit again.
This place is so amazing for the pups! There are multiple spots to stop and take a rest, plenty of shade and lots to smell! They have recently added new paths that are more tree coverage towards the border of the fence and it’s wonderful! There are also waterfountains by the parking lot and a port-o-potty too. Yeah I know those are gross but they are almost always kept decent. I think there was only 1 time in 10 years that they had a mess (that I’ve used at least)
Nice dog park. Lots of parking and good size area with trails around the perimeter and through the center. Mostly grass and some sand in barer areas. There’s a bulletin board and small dog park near the main entrance. Lots of stations with benches, water bowls, and clean bags. Trash cans only at the entrance.
My favorite off leash dog park in the north metro area. Dogs and their humans have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the outdoors in a safe 13 acre fully fenced area. There is a half mile sandy dirt track to walk. There are also multiple off shoot trails for more exploration. A newly added separately fenced small dog area is available, too. It is about 1/2 an acre in size. Although all well-behaved dogs are welcome in the larger park area.
