🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Library Square Dog Park is a cozy and accessible dog park located conveniently in Sherman Oaks, CA. Designed with neighborhood pups in mind, this pet-friendly space features artificial grass (AstroTurf) — making it both low-maintenance and comfortable for four-legged friends. Although on the smaller side, there’s enough room for dogs to socialize, play, and expend their energy in a safe, fenced-in area. The park is wheelchair accessible, ensuring everyone in the community can enjoy it.
Owners appreciate amenities like a working water fountain for dogs, free poop bags (though supplies may sometimes run low), and benches for comfortable seating while the dogs play. The park is most suitable for small to medium-sized dogs due to its limited space. While the fencing generally helps keep pets in, those with very small dogs should keep an eye out for gaps. For a charming spot to let your dog run leash-free and meet other local pets, Library Square Dog Park is a solid choice in the heart of Sherman Oaks.
Artificial grass, a bit small for a dog park but still enough room to run around. Water fountain and poop bags are available.
Nice neighborhood dog park with AstroTurf. Its on the small side but enough room for a few dogs to socialize and get some pined up energy out.The water fountain does work .
Love taking my doggo here..unfortunately his social skills are not up to Parr therefore we have 2do the after hours visititation..I do have 1 lil thing, that being that 99% of the time we’ve visited here there have been sh!t (on the other side of the entrance) all along the fence area..at least it’s not too scattered, but nevertheless u must walk in that area w/caution as the land mines are mos Def evident!!!!
Nice but Somewhat small…guessing 100 ft long. At one end, the street side, about 20 feet wide, and at other end, about 40 feet wide.
I understand that morning and afternoon times are a bit busy…we were there from 10am till noon thirty…only one medium small dog visited for about twenty minutes within that time.
“Astroturf”, not real grass…just mentioning it, but not a problem…
It was in decent condition, but could use a hose out…
Poop bag dispenser was empty…
Fencing, all around, there was was about a 4″ gap; small dogs like chihuahuas may possibly get out…tennis balls definitely get out…I had to retrieve balls from every side, several times, including in the street!!!
All this aside, my Shepherd/Border Collie had a great time!! (Two and a half hours worth)
We appreciated the fact that it was there and was in decent condition.
(City or county should pay more attention to management/maintenance)
Not bad, but I want bushes and trees. The area is quite small, but since I have a small dog, this is a small problem for me, and there is not enough space for large dogs. it seems clean, but sometimes you can smell dog and urine. There are poop bags, a place to sit, and plenty of dog toys.
