Park needs to be upgraded. The horseshoe pits are ridiculous. The event center needs new paint. We need a better playground for kids. Not this. Discovery park is better than this place.

As far as neighborhood parks go it’s a nice park. It’s well-maintained. It looks like somebody gives it TLC on a regular basis which is why it got four stars why didn’t get five stars is because it has two enclosed areas. One is the baseball fields and I get that no dogs allowed you don’t want kids sliding into homebase and smooshed and poop and unfortunately so many dog parents are horrible dog parents and they don’t pick up their poop so I get that However there’s a nice enclosed area for horseshoes and it’s pretty big and has like 20 horseshoe places. Well, I don’t know about you but even in a small town like Sheridan unless they’re gonna have some kind of a horseshoe competition event, which I don’t think they would even get enough players to cover the 20 spots that are available. This is wasted space and it has a huge sign no dogs allowed which again I get if it’s a usable space but horseshoe come onand for the small town. People who actually do like to play horseshoe chances are pretty good. They have a place to play in their own backyard. So this place gets a A+ for being well-maintained well groomed lots of large trees left for shade and a huge basketball court area that’s covered so kids and adults like can come and play basketball rain or shine. That is absolutely awesome but there’s no place for dogs to stretch their legs and run. Yes, you can walk them around, but if you’re also a dog parent, you know that that is not enough for them to stretch their legs and burn some energy so unless you have acreage which most of a stone Sheridan needs to add a designated dog part area or simply take out the horseshoes and allow dogs in that enclosed fenced area especially since horseshoe games don’t need to be in an enclosed area

Nice that Sheridan has a public park and a skate park. Nice swings and play structures. Now if they’d get the swings that both the parents and the child can swing at the same time…that would be awesome.

Fairly quiet, was nice to just sit, people watch, and chill, lots of mud in low spots but still tons of space.
