Stony Creek Metropark

The only reason I didnt give this absolutely beautiful park 5 stars is because the beaches need a few more trees. If you don’t bring some kind of shelter you will be baking. Perfect for sunbathing.
Beautiful park today on 5/25/2025 Memorial day weekend, the wildlife was out and about seen a turkey Vulture, a red white and blue Woodpecker, a Beaver by the lake and many others. Park was well patrolled by Police but not militarized
Went to Eastwood Beach 6/9/25. The slide rules! NULL/ride or NULL/all day riding. Water and facilities were clean and well maintained. Entry to Stoney Creek Metropark is NULL/day pass or NULL/annual. I had a previous preference for Kensington. But, I think I’ve found a new favorite.
Absolutely great place for everyone who wants to move around. Plenty of trails and the place is just so massive. Everything is well marked and organized. Place is clean and marked. Just beautiful.
The park was very awesome! Looking around, it was very green and had beautiful views to take photos at. At one of the pavilions I was at, there was a cute playground with a slide and some swings. It was very fun to play on them like we were kids again. I highly recommend visiting this park if you are in the area. It’s great!
