I had been wanting to get to Holbrook State Park for some time, having read about it in Northeast Kingdom Mountain Trail Guide. Initially, I wasn’t clear where the entrance was, as the guide made it seem like you needed to be on private property to access the trail. I was confused if this meant there was an access road from the street, or you were using their driveway. Upon arrival, I saw there was a sign on the main road marking the access road. You pass private stuctures and private land on the way to the trails.
With that cleared away, I got to my hike. I walked all the way down to Mud Lake and then headed towards the Summit for O’Leary’s Leap. Though I found the trail rocky at times, it was very peaceful and I enjoyed it greatly, The lookout at O’Leary’s Leap was very rewarding. I would highly recommend checking out this trail.

Peaceful day in the woods by the water. Several easy, short trails that you could combine for a longer hike if you wanted. Pileated woodpecker for the win!

You’ll think you’re pulling onto someone’s driveway, but keep going, you’ll see the trailhead/kiosk. Google maps will get you there.

Great little loop to get some backyard hiking in. Well maintained trails, nice lookout and usually pretty quiet. ♡

They have very nice hiking trails out there alongside some creeks and ponds. Great place to go hiking in the summer time and Fall. Possibly even spring time depending on how muddy it is

Great little hike with lovely lake views and a nice look out. The lookout is a great spot to watch sunset and it’s not a difficult hike.
