Was a nice hike to the falls. People were camping when I arrived to the falls. Nice rocks to check out here and can adventure more into the woods
Nice little trail. The falls are interesting.Something to keep in mind : The start of the trail is down slope. So going back is all uphill.There are a few arrow signs late in the trail. May benefit from some distance markers.They have a red mushroom growing at the bridge.
Worth it! Driving to the falls, you’ll wonder if you’re on the right road, but just stick to the navigation. Depending on the season, you’ll likely be better off having some kind of AWD vehicle. We went in spring, during a steady rain storm that had lasted for days, so the dirt road was pretty mucky (but fun in a Subaru). The parking lot area is about large enough for 2 to 3 vehicles. There is a bit of a walk down into the falls. It will take you about an hour or so. You cannot drive directly to the falls. The path itself is wide and easy to follow for the majority of the way. The path does narrow and enter into the woods for the last part of the hike. You’ll come upon the top of the falls first, and you can walk down to the bottom. It was honestly magical and so worth the hike in the rain and mud. I felt like a fairy would pop up at any minute. Beautiful.
Went to check it out with my hubby and two kids, 7 and 8 year old. We were very surprised to actually find this as it wasn’t marked very well, but that’s okay, that’s part of the adventure. I learn of this through a Facebook site PA waterfalls. Very thankful that they put on there exactly where to go. I typed it in Google maps and to my surprise it took us directly to there step-by-step. We actually took a Ford Taurus up there in the middle of February thaw and made it no problem. But my husband is a professional driver for a living so that helped tremendously. The hike down was obviously downhill as you are going to go where the water is and the trail was marked really well to my surprise. Thanks to whoever is taking care of this and making sure it is staying clear. We loved it and now are obsessed with finding other gems in our area!
