Located at 100 Railway St, Sharptown, Maryland, Cope Bennett Park offers a relaxing atmosphere right by the water, making it a pleasant choice for dog owners seeking a pet-friendly park. The park features two playgrounds, open fields that are perfect for a game of fetch or a leisurely walk, and plenty of open space for you and your pup to enjoy. It’s known for being generally quiet and clean, with a scenic view near the bridge and access to fishing and boating. Plenty of parking is available in the gravel lot, and there are convenient portable restrooms on site.

Covered shelters offer shade on sunny days, and the proximity to the water makes for cool breezes during walks. Whether you are passing through or looking for an enjoyable day out with your pet, this dog-friendly park by the Nanticoke River is worth a visit.
Clean park with baseball field and two playgrounds, Covered picnic areas and fishing with boat ramp.
Had a great time with my little boy playing on the 2 different play sets and walking on the path by the water. They had 2 covered seating areas for you to have little events. All around seems like a nice park
Could be a nice place to take the kids. Fishing, boating, playground, picnicking, etc. Needs policing. Lots of trash, especially in the parking lot, even though there are lots of trash cans. Would be nicer if there was a walking trail.
It’s a great place to play soccer. Whoever is managing these soccer fields in-season is VERY talented. Probably one of the most talented field crews around. I’ve never seen such straight lines.
I take my son to this park once in a while. It’s usually pretty empty. Occasionally, there is a kid for him to play with. It’s clean and the equipment is in good shape. There is also a portable bathroom on site if you need it. There is also a baseball field and tennis court near it. There is plenty of parking on an empty gravel parking lot. It is right by the water, too, because it’s almost underneath the bridge. I would watch your little ones so they don’t get in the water. Also, there are little briar balls over by the swings that stick to the bottom of your clothes. It is hard to get them off. Other than that, it’s a nice little playground.
