Stark Dog Park is a welcoming, pet-friendly spot in Shamokin Dam, PA, perfect for locals and travelers alike seeking a clean, shaded area for their dogs to play. The park features separate fenced-in spaces for both large and small dogs, allowing safe, off-leash fun for pups of all sizes. Its accessibility makes it convenient for families and dog owners, with wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, as well as picnic tables for a relaxing day out.
One unique highlight is the small creek alongside the park, where dogs can cool off after play sessions, making it a favorite stop for road-trippers and residents. While the park is generally well-maintained and offers plenty of shade, visitors should note there are no on-site water sources or public restrooms, so remember to bring your own water. The park is a great option for dog-friendly outings, offering a secure space to let dogs socialize and enjoy the outdoors in central Pennsylvania.
Nice but small open fenced in area for the dogs to play in off the leash. There’s no unlocked bathrooms or places to sit for humans though. Theres absolutely no water for you or your dog so remember to bring your own. The trail is also not that impressive and needs some major cleaning up and fixing.
Perfect place to bring my dog on long car ride!
Very nice clean dog park . Met another dog parent and her 3 pups. We properly introduced our girl to her group thru the fence to see the response and the 4 of then became friends quickly and had a great time. There is a area for large dogs and another for small to medium sized dogs.
Nice dog park. Clean, maintained and fun.
Made a nice stop over from Ohio back to Jersey, we will return.

Nice shaded dog park! Even has a little creek right next to it for your dog to cool off on a hot day. It’s pretty clean, and has separate areas for large dogs and small dogs. I bring my dog here whenever I’m in the area!
