Misty Pines Dog Park Co is a modern, fully equipped dog park located just outside Pittsburgh in Sewickley, PA. Known for its top-notch staff, professional training programs, and clean, beautiful grounds, it stands out as a trusted destination for dogs and their owners in the area. The facility offers both indoor and outdoor amenities, including agility training courses, boarding options, and classes for various dog sizes and temperaments.
This Sewickley dog park features a secure, fenced-in environment where dogs can exercise off-leash under owner supervision. While recent changes include an assessment process for entry, loyal patrons note the emphasis on safety and responsible participation. Shaded areas, seating, and well-maintained landscaping make it comfortable for both pets and their people. Whether you’re looking for expert guidance, a friendly training atmosphere, or a beautiful space for your dog to enjoy, Misty Pines is recognized as a one-stop shop for all your canine needs.
As a longtime client of Misty Pines, I’m deeply disappointed by the newly implemented dog park assessment process. I’ve always followed the rules, supported the facility, and enjoyed the space as a trusted environment for my dogs. But this recent change—and more importantly, the way it was administered—left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome.
I was told the assessment would take 15 minutes, yet nearly an hour later I was still being spoken to in a tone that felt more like a reprimand than a conversation. After years of responsible participation and loyalty, I did not expect to be treated in such a condescending way.
What’s most confusing is that Misty Pines acknowledges the specific individuals whose behavior prompted this policy change. So why are longstanding, rule-abiding clients being subjected to a broad, burdensome process that punishes everyone equallyNULL It feels both unfair and counterproductive.
If Misty Pines values community, responsibility, and mutual respect, that should extend to its loyal clients—not just be expected from them. I no longer feel that sense of trust or value, and that’s heartbreaking for a place that once felt like a second home.
With great disappointment, I’ve returned my annual passes totaling ?. This isn’t a decision I made lightly. I hope Misty Pines takes seriously the concerns of the clients who have stood by them for years.

I was surprised that it was a big modern, complete, and expensive facility, indoors and out. There were many dogs training on the indoor agility course all at the same time and no barking or other misbehaving. All was calm and in control. The trainer, Jeff, and I and my wife, and my dog all got along great. He made several observations of my dog that I nor my wife would have made. He was very professional. I’m looking forward to our next session.
The BEST place to board dogs in Pittsburgh. We’ve been using Misty Pines for 8 years. Top notch staff and excellent experience. Hank loves it there and won’t stay anywhere else!🤣
When I walked in the door the first time, I knew I brought my german shepherd Ghost to the right place for a 2 week boot camp. The staff are so friendly and welcoming! You can tell they really care about the animals. The facility is clean and the grounds are beautiful. Ghost will be going back for boarding soon. I totally trust them. A one stop shop for your dogs needs!!!
I love this place! If I’m taking my dog somewhere to have fun and keep him busy, this is where I go. They are a little bit pricey but that doesn’t bother me as I only go to one class a week if I’m not busy and as an added bonus, the dog park is free before and after that class you take! I take my dog to the Toy breed class, Ed normally teaches it and I have to say, he really has a way with the little dogs. I’ve had one other instructor teach the Toy class and it was very uncomfortable, you could feel all the dogs in the room being very stimulated. But I’m not saying the other instructors are bad as I have seen them teach the classes with the bigger dogs and they do a fantastic job. After coming here maybe fifteen times I have noticed my dogs behavioral and potty problems diminishing and an increase in confidence just by having this outlet for him once a week. I see some reviews stating they could be rough with pets, but I have not experienced this yet. I can’t say anything about the daycare or boarding as I have not used either, but I do know they have a window you can watch your dog from while they are in daycare. They also sell these special training collars, I was very iffy to spend money on just a fancy collar, but I ended up getting one after not having much success with his harness, and their training collar REALLY made a difference in training. I’m not sure why, I think it’s about the communication through the leash. Overall, I recommend this place!
