FAQ for Charles F Lewis Natural Area in Seward Pennsylvania:
Beautiful area to hike however this is a hot spot where men go to hook up and they do it openly. Maybe law enforcement needs to have an active presence there. I have seen camera traps around the trails. Too bad.
Big area to explore. The trail is ruff, steep, and changes in elevation along the way. But it’s really nice in the spring. Lots of pretty flowers and old trees.
Great hike. The trail is steep with a lot of elevation change.
This is a rugged trail but worth it for the water features and tall trees
One of my favorite area trails. Challenging hike. Clean, refreshing water at the creek. Abundance of plant life… watercress, Canadian ginger, dwarf ginseng, Jack-in-the-pulpit, red and white trillium, sassafras, mayapple, morels and much more; abundance of local wildlife (birds, mammals, insects). Very, very green in the spring. Nice terrain.
