Oh, and hiking trails and a beautiful stream come with it for no extra charge!
Cool spot. The loop is a little tight for big campers. A few of the spots are pull through but we didn’t realize it since we arrived at night. We did the hiking trail around the pond. It doesn’t look overly well traveled but we enjoyed it.
On our way north my mom and i stumbled on this gem! Great place to camp if your looking for a break from everyday life. Theres even a little history to boot. Did i say the fishing is spectacular if your able to hook into one of those bad boys. Been meaning make a trip back my self. Great location for a first day spot if your headed into the park. Other than that it is a tad bit of a drive to and from the dynamite views of pictured rocks definetly worth the stay! Fyi if you get a chance to kyak the headwaters and drop a line you wont regret it.
love this place. i’ve been camping all over the UP for work this summer, and this spot made me feel like i was camping for fun! so beautiful, and easy to walk a bit away from the campsite (i was in one of the spots by the well, so right in front of a red pine slope) and feel like you’re in the middle of the woods. would definitely come back!
