My favorite place to be as a teen… Sad to see very few enjoying it these days, but it’s still beautiful as ever.
This is a fun area to explore. They have playgrounds, beaches, boat launches, kayaking, trails, camping, etc. I would purchase a boating permit prior to coming. The area that we are in seldom has an attendant. Things seem to be well maintained and updated as needed
I absolutely loooooove coming out here 🤩 it’s so peaceful and the scenery is just so breathtaking at times. My kids love coming out here. Seeing the wildlife and nature I just love it. And coming out here I always love looking at the goats!
We went out tonight to watch the Sunset over the water. It was gorgeous! There was so many people out doing many things. Cooking out, in the lit up shelters, skating , walking, playing, visiting. Guys with metal detectors on the beach. People on board& pontoons!! I haven’t ever seen so many folks out there 😊 It was very nice to see especially during this time in our lives. I just love to go out there to take my photos.
We love Prairie Creek Reservoir! Nice, small, clean place to go boating and relaxing on the water. With a 20 mph speed limit and only able to tube on the S end of the lake it keeps the waters calmer and the traffic more manageable. Perfect place to go to hang out and relax with friends and family.
