Great Wolf Lodge Water Park in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, is a family-focused resort renowned for its massive indoor water park and a wide variety of activities for all ages. While it’s mainly known as a fun-filled vacation spot with water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, rope course, and arcade, its accommodations and amenities are modern, spacious, and provide comfort for families looking to relax or play. The lodge also offers plenty of convenient extras like cabana rentals, lockers, restaurants, and attentive staff to make your stay enjoyable.
If you’re seeking pet-friendly parks or traditional dog parks in Scotrun, note that Great Wolf Lodge Water Park itself is not a dog park and does not advertise amenities like off-leash dog areas, fenced runs, or pet facilities. However, nearby Pocono Mountains offer scenic spots and dog-friendly hiking trails for those traveling with pets. For your family’s convenience, the resort provides paid parking, food options, attentive lifeguards, and always maintains a safe, clean atmosphere. Before visiting, check for any seasonal crowd fluctuations and local pet regulations to ensure the best experience.

It was cool, kids had fun. But expect places like this to milk you for all the money they possibly can. It’s borderline predatory. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was friendly and helpful, but this place wants to upsell you on everything, there’s a ? parking fee that wasn’t mentioned online, and the package I bought online was different from what I got when I arrived. I was supposed to get access to the ropes course and a ? food credit, both which were taken away and replaced with a ? arcade credit. ? at the arcade is basically just a sample. I got the kids cabin room. It was pretty much as pictured, bunk beds and all. It was actually a nice room. I’ll also say that hallways and stairways are way too narrow, especially for the sheer amount of traffic through this place, so keep that in mind when packing. The Waterpark is cool, the water slides are the best part, but there is also a normal pool, a wave pool, a lazy river and some kind of kids tower thing along with a couple places to buy food and drinks, all indoors. The Waterpark has lockers, bathrooms and towels, but didn’t seem to have a locker room to change in. Be advised they will charge you ? for using the towels if you don’t PROMPTLY return them to the window. You could also rent a cabana in the Waterpark for some ?, but it seems pointless. In the end it’s a cool place with a bunch of stuff to do for the family, but expect to spend a lot more than you thought. I was around ? into it and I only stayed one night.

Great Wolf Lodge has always been good to us. We usually get the Majestic Bear Suite that gives our little girl her own room which allows my wife and I most of the suite to hang out after she’s asleep with a wonderful balcony.
At the waterpark, Danielle who helped us check into our cabana was amazing! She looked into who we were and made sure we had the perfect cabana near the activities our little girl would want to do. Mark, who handles entry is so fantastic. Absolutely hilarious. Always with a smile but keeps order and makes sure everyone gets in as quickly and safely as possible.
My one MINOR complaint would be these days Fireside is only open for dinner where I used to go there for brunch and lunch regularly. But the buffet across the way isn’t half bad.
Thank you to all the staff who make our stay wonderful. The shoutouts are just those who really went well above and beyond every time we visit.

Took my son and friend for the day for his birthday. Found the overall package to be ridiculously overpriced with tons of hidden fees. Purchased a water park pass bundled with mini golf and mining – was overpriced but thought it’d be good with the bundle. Got there and got charged an additional ? for parking when I picked up my passes. Went to use a locker that was 12×12 and was charged ?. Got them wolf cups. For 17.99 a piece you’d think it would be unlimited refills – it wasn’t. Went to mine, thinking it was included but still had to pay for the bags of rocks to mine with (25% off). Went to get towels (1/per guest) but my badge wouldn’t work so not sure if a towel wasn’t included with the day pass or not. Assume they’d charge me for that too but the girl at the desk just let me go. Food price was high but that was expected.
He had fun, but for the money I would never go there again.

We had a great time. My daughter is special needs and we found so many activities and slides she was able to do. We also enjoyed the Halloween decorations and the dance party. The trick or treat could have been a little better. Our room was huge (we had a loft)

Overall a great family (with children) destination but very expensive. Not ideal for non-families visiting.
The rooms were very nice. Beds were comfortable but pillows were not. The TV was oddly located in an inconvenient location for most of the room; Not great for the couch or furthest bed.
The water park was a bit smaller than expected. We were hoping for an adult area but there did not seem to be one. Maybe a hot tubNULL The Lazy River was the closest to an adult area.
The convenience of the wrist bands being your room key and payment method was nice. And the hotel has several amenities/activities like mini golf.
Everything was a little over priced though. NULL for magic wandsNULL NULL to park somewhere we are already paying to stay and you have your own, non-city parkingNULL Over NULL for a breakfast buffet? No thanks.
