Mohawk Dog Park is a well-maintained and spacious dog park located at 1134 Mohawk St in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. Known for its clean, grassy spaces and lack of mud, the park provides a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners. With separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, pet owners can relax knowing their furry friends are safe. A paved path makes it easy for everyone, including those with mobility needs, to enjoy the scenic area and walk around the nearby lake.
This dog-friendly park features benches for seating, picnic tables, and plenty of parking, making it perfect for both regular visits and meetups. There’s a water station with a dog bowl and double-gated entries for extra security. While the park is well-kept and not overly busy, it does have limited shaded areas and can get quite hot during Savannah summers—making it especially enjoyable during cooler months. Mohawk Dog Park is an ideal spot for Savannah dog lovers looking for an accessible, pet-friendly trail and open space to let their dogs play off-leash.
Some of the obstacles were broken, and no water inside the dog areas. But it was a big park, though only a small shaded area
I found the park very well maintained and up to date. My big boy was hoping to find a friend.
Very nice park. Seperate area for large (+30lbs) and small dogs. A nice walking path halfway around the lake. Plenty of parking. Fishing is allowed.
Great Dog Park. It’s a bit of a walk from the parking area. There is a paved path that makes the walk easy. Both small and large dog areas with a bench and shade.
This a nice dog park with plenty of open space, grass and no mud, some benches, a water station with a dog bowl. The fences are double gated and have a divider between two areas. The grass appears to be well kept, but after heavy rains puddles will form. The reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because during the summer, it is VERY hot with little to no shade. It would be a great colder month park, but the summer is unbearable for me. Not many people know of this one so it seems to be empty most of the time.
