Very busy Easter Sunday! The tennis and basketball courts were filled with children and adults as well as the playground. The 3 baseball fields were empty. The trail towards the back of the park is about a 30 minute walk to the end and back. Great for walking or cycling. Beautiful scenery, one of a kind. The public restrooms were stocked and mostly clean. Definitely worth a return visit!

The tennis courts are one of the nicer ones in the area with (free) lights working for two courts last week. Pronounced slope towards the field (away from the parking lot) does exists – but this facilitates quicker drying time during summer thunderstorms. Middle net tapes were loose during last weeks match.

This playground is always in good condition and our kids love to play here. I have not had a problem getting parking ever.

I have not had a chance to try the bathrooms because I have twin toddlers.

Nice park, well maintained. During off peak hours, things get a little shady near the baseball fields in the back of the park. If you’re visiting to hike the trails or access the river, I recommend that you park near the tennis courts at the front of the park. Regarding river access, it’s a short easy hike down to the river where you can fish for stocked trout in branches of both the Little and Middle Patuxent Rivers.

We love this park. There are so many options from playing at the playground, playing basket ball, walking the trails or watching others play the fields. The restrooms are decent and we’ve always found a parking space.
