Theres no DOGS HERE! My dog was bumming hard, and i stayed for a long time at 1:00pm on a sunday. Overcast but no rain AT ALL, not at any point in the day. The ground is totally dry, theres no reason for dogs not to be here. We’ve been here an hour. My dog is so pissed at every person he sees that comes when he realizes they dont have dogs. Im serious when he sees people show up he runs over things “yes dogs finally” then sees they dont have dogs and gets pissed and starts parking at them like to say “dammit you dont have a dog i dont wanna see you get out of here stupid human,” oh poor baby. He was so stoked when i said “dog park Brody, we’re at the dog park.”

I’ve taken my dog here two different times & the park itself is nice…sturdy fenced in area with lots of room to run around…however on my first visit there was a large german shepard that continually jumped on my 13yr old dogs back. I had to physically push the dog off of mine numerous times, this dog was twice the size of mine & was literally putting him on the ground every time he jumped on him. The owner stood by talking to another man as I had to physically get his dog off of mine numerous times. I mean I realize its a dog park but if I saw someone struggling with my dog I would have made some sort of effort to help but this owner didnt even attempt to help. The second visit my dog was able to run around with the other dog that was there & they were playing around then as my dog was walking back to me the other dog suddenly attacked mine. Thankfully this owner was much more attentative than the last & he quickly pulled his dog away & left with him so I dont blame him or the dog at all. I have went to the RP park many times & have never had a problem so the fact that we had only been to this park twice & experienced incidents both times kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

Fenced in dog park with some grass. No poop bag dispenser, no water fountain. Next an open grass field. Surrounded by well kept homes and businesses in a warehouse building. Sketchy area near the hwy not far away.

This is a smaller dog park, if you’re looking for a huge space for your dog to run, there are other parks around Santa Rosa that are better. I love this park because there’s rarely other dogs and it has just enough space for me the toss the ball around and let my dog stretch her legs in the middle of our walk.
