Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
San Roque Park is a peaceful neighborhood greenspace nestled in the San Roque area of Santa Barbara, CA. Known for its mature trees and well-maintained grounds, this small triangular park offers a tranquil setting with lovely mountain views and opportunities to relax while your furry companion enjoys the surroundings. Although it is not a large dog park and does not offer many specialized amenities, the park’s quiet atmosphere makes it a favorite local spot for dog owners looking for a break from the busy city.
While San Roque Park is not fully equipped with standard off-leash dog park features, it does provide plenty of shade, open grassy spaces, and is tucked away in a calm, residential part of town. It is conveniently located near upper State Street and De La Vina Street, so pet owners can enjoy a short walk to nearby restaurants and shops after visiting the park. Bring your own blanket as seating is limited, and plan ahead for pet essentials since there are no water fountains, bathrooms, or dedicated dog areas.
Cute little park,if you live in the little rich area! Tried to walk our dog but, alot of there dogs were not on the leash and I was afraid that my dog would be bitten! If you don’t live there don’t go! Also no bathrooms! What kind of city has non-welcoming Park’s?
Ok not a big park. This is a triangle between streets. It’s actually a pump station for underground water 💧. It does have a disc golf goal(just one) but creative people can make a course(it’s movable). Never meet a rude person here.
It’s a very small park. But it’s very clean and it’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood not to far away from a bunch of restaurants on upper state st/de la vina st. Usually has a person or two cruising through but for the most part it’s quiet and few people. This means that it’s an excellent 5-star location to bring your snuggum-pie-honey-bunch for a romantic picnic date. Bring a blanket because there’s not really any benches or tables but other than that it’s perfect!
This is a beautiful park with mature trees, nestled among homes in the San Roque neighborhood. It is so peaceful there with views of the mountains, and a great place to sit on the park bench, listen to the birds, and relax.
All I needed was a nice park bench, and some peace and quiet… and this small, residential greenspace came through. Perfect for meeting up with a friend. 🧡
