This is a dog-friendly trail where dogs can be off-leash, offering incredible bluff views along the coast. The trail is clean and features plenty of seating areas to relax and enjoy some quiet time. It is surrounded by oak and eucalyptus trees, with ample parking available in the neighborhood. You’ll enjoy the fresh ocean air, and there are no bugs to worry about.
The Douglas Family Preserve was an excellent park to go walk around. It is generally an easy place to walk around with lots of pretty scenery over the water. There were multiple people walking and with dogs (many off leash). It was definitely worth the trip and one of our favorite places to walk in Santa Barbara.
Nice tail smoking the coast with great views, especially during sunset. It’s a bit hard to find, doesn’t have dedicated parking. You can park in the residential blocks near the trail. Is dog friendly so that’s a plus. Glad we came here.
I was just passing through the area while on a business trip and saw this place as a recommended stop for my dog. Even on a Friday afternoon, the parking was plentiful. The trails were nice and secluded. There were many other dog owners around with their pups off-leash and not a single problem. It was a great day!
Beautiful spot with very mild hikes and spectacular ocean views from the cliffs. Loved seeing so many dogs running around and having a great time — it really adds to the atmosphere!
Also a great place for trail running or just an easy walk with amazing scenery. Highly recommend!
